Things To Do: Mexico City
Being the second largest city in the world, you almost cannot exhaust the sightseeing opportunities that Mexico City has to offer. To give you a preview, here are some of the activities that you can indulge in while taking your TEFL classes in the city:
- Catch a car race at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez or a match of Mexican free wrestling at the Arena Mexico.
- Depending on the time that you're there, participate in one of the seasonal celebrations in Mexico City like the Independence Day held every September 15th, the Day of the Dead or Wise Men's Day.
- Learn about Mexico City's exotic history by visiting Mexico City's Museum at the Centro.
- Go on a food adventure as you try several restaurants as you try mouth watering Mexican foods like tacos, enchiladas, quesadillas, Huevos Rancheros or migas.
- Pay homage to the National Museum of Anthropology in Chapultepec. It's one of the best museums in the world which was built in the 1960s.
- Shop at the upscale Polanco, Altavista or Condesa shopping districts - or check out the oldest shopping district in Mexico City which is at the Centro Historico.
- Stroll through the streets of Plaza de las Tres Culturas in Tlatelolco which exhibits a mix of modern, colonial and pre-Columbian architecture.
